Best exercise classes in Basingstoke :)
Helen at Good for mums is absolutely fantastic. I have attended a variety of the classes on offer from buggyfit through to boxercise and I have never left a class without feeling I have worked hard and been supported through my exercise. Helen never just leaves you to get on but corrects posture/position to ensure you never do damage to your body.

Buggy fit
I started buggy fit after a friend recommended it I had tried going back to the gym and failed so thought I would try something new! Straight away I felt at ease because Helen is so lovely and welcoming. In the first session she checked my tummy for a diastasis (a gap between your tummy muscles) I had never heard of this being a side effect of pregnancy but she explained it is really common. It turns out I had one which I was gutted about! Helen was great and knew just what to do to help it heal. She always explained how to do exercises to ensure I wasn't doing more damage and even did a special course for women like me with a diastasis to help it mend. After coming to buggy fit for a couple of months my gap was completely healed I was so happy! I couldn't have done it without Helen's help I would recommend this to anyone who has had a baby and want to get active again!!

Class addict!
I started attending Buggyfit as soon as the classes started in January. At first I was a bit unsure if it would do anything for me as my son was already 2 but being out in the fresh air is what really attracted me. I began to feel a difference really quickly and soon started attending as many classes as possible and can safely say I have never come away feeling like I've not gained something. The way Helen adapts the classes to all ladies is incredible; whether you are 6 weeks postnatal, 6 months post natal or 2 years postnatal and more importantly whether you have a separation or any pelvic floor injuries there is an exercise you can be doing. Your safety is her main concern and her knowledge and explanation is fantastic.
Having been attending Buggyfit for some months I decided to try the circuit class and my goodness I don't think I have enjoyed doing weight work so much in my life! Thank you Helen

Fresh Air, Fitness & Fun!What more could you want!
I've been attending Buggyfit for 7 weeks since I was 7 weeks postnatal. The sessions have given me confidence to get out and exercise again. After the birth of my daughter Elodie I was so nervous to start exercising as I had some complications but Helen made sure I was ready to get started and each week I have come away feeling stronger. She alters exercises for mums that need something slightly different. Some weeks Elodie has needed to be fed part way round or she has cried and Helen has accommodated us to make sure it doesn't interfere with the session. I bought a 10 session pass which allows me to attend any session within three months. I choose to attend Thursday sessions in Beggarwood but I know that if we struggle that morning there are other sessions we can attend. It's great to get out and for Elodie to get some fresh air. Being able to take Elodie with me is just a huge benefit as I don't have to rely on anyone for childcare whilst I focus on my fitness. Thank you Helen and a

Buggyfit addict
Been doing buggyfit for a couple of months and absolutely love it. Helen is great at tailoring the exercise to your individual needs to make sure you are working hard but safely for your postnatal body. I already feel stronger and fitter and love getting out the house to spend an hour with a fab bunch of ladies.
My baby is a bit of a screaming beast at times but I never worry about it or feel any judgement. Helen keeps us moving to calm the babies, or rocks the pram so we can focus on our bodies for the session.
I have never previously participated in organised fitness classes but I have been completely converted. Only wish I had started sooner!

Love Buggyfit!
Just recently joined the Buggyfit group run by Helen and absolutely loving it! Such a lovely group of ladies where we can be pushed and get a proper workout, but also tailored for our post-baby bodies. Was really reassuring to have my muscle separation checked before doing too much so there was no risk of causing damage. It's also so reassuring that it doesn't matter if baby kicks off during the session, Helen helps rock the prams or exercises can often be changed to be able to walk pram at the same time.
